Albert and Halbert will be conducting popup workshops on Composition and Dynamic Symmetry at the Bluebird Studios in Santa Fe on Aug 23, 24. For more information visit www.alberthandellstudio.com. www.karenhalbert.com and www.bluebirdstudiosantafe.com.

Different armatures will be presented By Halbert on the second day for various paintings by Albert and other historically significant artists, who acknowledged working with Dynamic Symmetry and other Armatures.  Contemporary artists will be studied as well. In addition, construction steps will be demonstrated for the armatures for students to use to analyze their own paintings. 
New tools will be demonstrated including a new approach utilizing Object Oriented Techniques with Adobe Photoshop.

Headings will be added to each of the armatures for identification purposes so please visit again. As teasers, perhaps, different tree paintings will be presented every few days until Aug 24.

We will be using the triadic color wheel from the Color Wheel Company to illustrate color relationships. a good resource is the book, Color is Everything, by Dan Bartges, a book with thorough descriptions of this tool (I will have it in the workshop for you to peruse).  Triadic Color Wheel from the Color Wheel Company: Study of the Triadic Color Wheel. The color wheel provides 12 hues around the circle on each side  On the one side we can see the effects of mixing red, yellow and blue and white and black with each of the 12 hues by rotating the wheel. This side also has a value scale that can be matched up with each of the hues to identify the value of each hue. The second side shows the tint, tone and shade for each of the hues. Directions are provided for determining analogous colors, complementaries , split complements, triads and tetrads. We will be discussing these at length. 2023 Preliminary Workshop Notes on Composition Armatures
